On a cold and frosty February morning both sides met at cefn school ground in a hard fought friendly, both coaches checked the pitch condition and agreed along with Parents that the game was playable, the game was action packed as usual with Cefn's physical presence showing from the start going into the lead quickly with 2 successive tries, Cwm looked shell shocked and all players needed to dig in this was shown by capatain Anton Curry who scored in the corner, the game continued to be tight throughout the first half with hard tackling from Cwm's Cian John and Joshua Castaldi it then took some great running from Mathew Whiles who scored directly from a penalty and two further tries for Cosmo Coliins going into half time 3-4 up.

The second half was even more physical with some great running rugby a strong solo try for Oliver Davies pushed Cwm further into the lead but a illegal dump tackle on Cwm's Tomas Davies shocked everyone meaning a Cefn player being sin binned to cool down, this seemed to be the spurring on that Cwm were looking for with some good tackling from players such as Brandon Jones, Kieran Casey and Caleb Cole, turning over the ball to give the away side plenty of posession, these inevitably resulted in 3 great tries for Callum Griffiths who had a storming game putting Cefn Coed in second place with a great Win for Cwmgwrach 5 points to 8.
